My path into bodywork grew from a deep commitment to holistic wellness and community care. Before becoming a Massage Therapist, I spent several years supporting homeless and at-risk youth and women on Skid Row, focusing on life skills, access to resources, hygiene programs, and integrative wellness support. Alongside this work, I studied holistic spirituality, health, and nutrition, weaving mind–body practices into both my personal and professional life. ------------------------------------- I began my massage therapy career in late 2022 during a period of transition that clarified my direction. After traveling abroad and learning from diverse healing cultures, I was inspired to pursue massage therapy after experiencing its restorative benefits firsthand. I trained at the Elaine Sterling Institute in Georgia, developing a strong foundation in therapeutic and restorative techniques grounded in anatomy, physiology, and evidence-informed practice. I also completed a 200-hour Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) certification at CALCOPA School of Massage, further expanding my knowledge in circulation, detoxification, treating Lymphedema, Lymphoma, Post Surgery Swelling and Draining the body of unwanted toxins. To deepen my understanding of movement and functional alignment, I later traveled to Thailand to study Traditional Thai stretch massage, shaping how I work through alignment, assisted movement, breath awareness, and mindful touch. With all of this knowledge, I gained hands-on work experience working alongside chiropractors in injury recovery settings , supporting rehabilitation and pain management for professional athletes and individuals recovering from injury and providing stretch sessions . Then I worked in a luxury spa in Los Angeles, providing high-end, personalized care for high-profile clientele . These experiences allow me to blend clinical awareness with calm presence in every session. ------------------------------------- Today, my work reflects a trauma-informed, nervous system–aware approach, informed by research in fascia, circulation, stress physiology, and recovery-based bodywork. I founded Soma Flow Studios in 2024 in response to the growing demand for high-quality therapeutic massage that prioritizes both results and experience—care that feels professional, unrushed, and genuinely supportive. My practice includes sports massage, lymphatic drainage, Thai stretch therapy, myofascial release, prenatal massage, and relaxation-focused sessions. Every session is customized, never rushed, and guided by what your body needs that day. I also collaborate with other licensed massage therapists to staff wellness events, provide couples massages, and offer same-time sessions.
