I have yet to discover anything more complex and miraculously designed as the human body. I have spent decades studying it, and feel passionately that I will continue doing so. With constant research and advancements, we are learning more every year about the inner workings of the brain, the fascial system, lymphatic movement, pain science, the effects of a movement practice, mindfulness, and the list goes on. This information serves to inform, yet the core of my work comes from a deeper place. The use of hands for healing is an ancient practice. I approach treatments with reverence for the energy within each individual, following where the body is leading me, in order to regain optimal function and a sense of organized wholeness. Many of the manual therapies I integrate descended from Osteopaths whose philosophy was to treat the whole person, and to do no harm. We are made in many layers, and it is my job to meet you at the appropriate depth, at the speed of your nervous system. This means that touch can vary from subtle to deep, depending on your individual needs. Some of these modalities include CranioSacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Visceral Manipulation, Structural Integration, and Brain Therapy. I am also very moved by the power of sound as a therapeutic agent. As a musician and singer, I explored Sound Therapy with great curiosity and had the great opportunity to study immersively in Spain with renown teachers Michele Averard and Nestor Kornblum, where I learned healing instruments, overtone singing, and sang in caves with ancient paintings as well as a domed structure built to perfect Pythagorean ratios. I hold monthly sound baths, and can also incorporate sound into individual bodywork sessions. Outside of the treatment room, I am an avid trail runner, an exhibiting visual artist, and a mother to one very spirited youngster. It is my honor to serve you to my best ability on your healing journey.
