My name is Alassandra, and I am a Certified Massage Therapist and Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist. My massage training includes Swedish or circulatory massage, deep tissue, Thai massage, acupressure, tui na, Hawaiian lomi lomi, craniosacral therapy, oncology massage, and vibrational sound therapy.
As a massage therapist, I provide a healthy touch that encourages the body to allow itself to heal from physical and emotional pain. In addition to supporting survivors, I also work with people in caring professions who are experiencing vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, or burnout- including health care workers, caregivers, mental health clinicians, social workers, and more.
Outside of my bodywork practice, I also work as a certified Survivor Advocate for people who have been impacted by sexual Assault, relationship violence, stalking, and exploitation. My work as an advocate drives my passion to empower individuals in their lifelong healing journey, which led me to study the neurophysiological impacts of trauma and the mind-body connection.
In addition to my massage training, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Education from UC Santa Barbara. I am a lifelong learner and always interested in exploring current research in modern science and best practices for supporting others holistically. I have been lucky to work with a wide spectrum of people, including specialty populations such as veterans, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, former foster youth, cancer survivors, the elderly, and people with disabilities, and I welcome clients who are interested in personalized care to support their mind, body, and spirit.
