Having severe scoliosis, and suffering with pain from simply living life inspired my quest to help others struggling with sciatic pain, nerve entrapment, and endemic and subconscious habits the body falls into from overworked and imbalanced body mechanics. During my massage education journey, I asked my instructor if I could still become an effective massage therapist and she said, "You can. You ABSOLUTELY CAN."
During course instruction, we learned many modalities, ranging from light and relaxing Swedish massage, to deep tissue techniques. As students, we practiced a range of techniques on each other and I learned that deep pressure was not always necessary to each and every individual seeking relief. Many times, a gentle approach was not only sufficient, but more effective. Hence, gentle pain relief.
