About Me? OR, is this about you? I am probably a lot like you.
I am an athlete. At least I used to be an athlete, now I’m a family man. I play sports on the weekend. Well, I used to play sports on the weekend. Now, I watch my daughter play at the park on the weekend, and I work all week. Occasionally, I get the urge for an athletic spurt. A game or two of pick up basketball or softball. Or, another foray into the world of fitness.
I try to stay in shape, but I believe I am more consistent in starting a fitness program/routine than I am in finishing it. How many times have I started P90X, 1, 2 and 3? How many times did I start Insanity and Focus T25? I’ve been pretty consistent with DDP Yoga, and that’s a great feeling. What I do know, is that time is limited, and I can’t afford to be sore all the time.
After a rough week or month at work, I want and need a massage. I deserve to relax and let my body recuperate, but; I don’t want “a relaxing massage.” If I am going to get a massage, I want to make sure that it helps me get through next week comfortably with less pain. Can’t I do both?
Yes, you can do both, and I can help.
Like me, you want to be more active, but you also have to work. Life has brought about it’s bumps and bruises, but it also has brought its moments of sheer joy. No matter where you go, your body has to come with you. Given the option, you want it to feel good. That’s where I come in.
My experience has told me that posture balance is critical to a more optimal lifestyle. The body needs movement to bring in oxygen, assist blood flow and create energy to continue moving. The body was designed to operate and resist the effects of gravity. Our daily lives work to resist our body’s design. Our bodies were not designed to spend the whole day seated at a desk.
Our bodies were designed to move. Let me help you keep your body moving.
Our bodies were not designed to be seated at a desk, typing constantly and eating three square meals a day. There is a balance in which the body functions best to fight the effects of gravity. The ears over the shoulders; the shoulders over the hips; the hips over the knees and the knees
