I believe that everyone can benefit from client centered, skilled bodywork and my goal with each client is to reduce their physical and emotional pain by applying integrated therapeutic techniques with compassionate care. Working with clients during times of challenge and transition is my passion. Currently, I’ve chosen to focus my work in the area of manual lymphatic drainage and as a general rule, I am not taking new massage clients in order to accommodate clients in need of lymphatic work. My interest in MLD grew out of my own experience of going through many cancer surgeries, lymph node removal, and chemotherapy. Prior to that time, I had no idea how common lymphedema, painful adhesions, axillary web syndrome and limited range of motion were after surgery. I became interested in obtaining training to safely treat oncology patients and survivors (very few massage therapists have any training in what constitutes safe care). Next, I decided to take the plunge and learn the intricate art of manual lymphatic drainage in order to better serve clients. MLD is not the same as traditional massage. I am passionate about helping ensure best outcomes and speedy healing for anyone undergoing any type of surgery, recovering from injury, or just optimizing wellness. I welcome the opportunity to provide personalized exemplary care in my far NW in home treatment studio and look forward to learning how I can best help you.
