After many years of exploring a yoga practice, I pursued my passion of helping others heal themselves by becoming a licensed massage therapist. I have witnessed the power of bodywork provide positive, lasting changes in my life as well as the lives of my clients. I offer a judgment free space for people to find a place of rest and self-acceptance. It is my desire to provide a well-balanced bodywork experience. I combine different techniques in order to give a custom treatment based on each client’s needs. Amy C. Anderson graduated from the Universal College of Healing Arts in 2009. She is currently a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals and is Board Certified via the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. Amy uses her training, continuing education, and life experience to facilitate balance and well-being for each client. She is also a Certified Body Memory Recall practitioner and has pursued continuing education in Acupoint Pressure Therapy, Body Mechanics, Ethics and Reiki I. Amy is a certified yoga instructor as well. As such, she can recommend stretches or poses to help maintain fluidity in the body. She began her yoga practice in 1997 and began teaching after receiving her training in 2006 from Omaha Yoga and Bodywork Center. She also received certification in Yin Yoga in 2007. Her classes hold to a more traditional way of teaching yoga and include breathwork, physical poses, and meditation. Amy has studied with and gives thanks to her many teachers including: Susi Amendola, Rolf Sovik, Cora Wen, Amy Matthews, and Sarah Powers.
