What is Medical Massage and how is it different? Medical Massage is focused on a specific area of the body to reduce pain and increase movement using a variety of techniques including warming up the muscles for percussion, vibration, assisted stretching, and muscle contraction and relaxation to gain movement and reduce pain.
Experience for yourself the healing, pain relief and increased movement at MEDICAL MASSAGE of Tomahawk.
My name is (Leslie) Sessy Schneeberger, I am the owner of Medical Massage in Edgerton, Wisconsin since 2018 and Medical Massage of Tomahawk in 2025.
I opened my first massage practice in 2018 after retiring as a hospice LPN. While working in hospice, I saw firsthand what happened to people while they were on multiple medications and when they were taken off all medications, they were able to function again and have conversations they had not been able to have for years. This is what drives me to be the best Medical Massage Therapist, knowing there is another way to help decrease/manage chronic pain without long term medications.
I have spent the past years learning the best techniques for pain relief and movement that gets results within the first few sessions.
My training, experience and certifications in addition to my licensure include:
- Medical Massage -Assisted Stretching
- Acupressure -ROM
- Energy work including Reiki and Quantum Touch
- Coaching the Body- a pain relief technique that integrates trigger point therapy, neuroscience concepts with a range of manual therapy
- Gua Sha -Fire Cupping
- Myofascial Release -Scar Tissue Mobilization
Medical massage is grounded in science and supported by a growing body of clinical research.
Among the many health benefits documented are:
- Reduction of acute and chronic pain
- Improved range of motion and flexibility
- Faster recovery from injury or surgery (Physician's note may be required)

My treatments are tailored to the individual, recognizing that each client’s needs and responses may vary. Evidence-based protocols and ongoing evaluation ensure optimal results and client satisfaction.
I have advanced training and experience as both a LPN and LMT, I have had great success in easing common ailments such as migraine headaches, TMJ, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Sciatica, Piriformis Syndrome, as well as neck, shoulder, back, hip and knee pain. I have worked with clients with various muscular joint dysfunctions, allowing them to regain ROM with significantly reduced pain levels. I have also worked with clients who suffer from Fibromyalgia that have gotten relief from their symptoms.
The mission of Medical Massage of Tomahawk is to promote healing and holistic well-being through evidence-based massage therapy, tailored to individual medical needs. I strive to bridge the gap between conventional medicine and integrative approaches, providing a supportive environment where clients can experience meaningful relief and long-term improvement. My vision is to continue to be recognized as a trusted partner in healthcare, collaborating as needed with physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, and other practitioners to optimize each client’s health journey as I have done in Edgerton, Wisconsin.
