About me: 

Hello,  I'm Shana Matney. I've been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 23 years in the Madison area. 

I've lived all over Wisconsin and out West (Colorado and Nevada), where I worked for the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in Boulder, Colorado.

In addition to owning my Massage business, I have many years of experience working in the Spa Industry and with Chiropractors. 

I am Licensed for Massage Therapy with the State of Wisconsin #11682-146 and I passed the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage (NCBTMB). I am a current  Member of the ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals) and have held Membership with the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) for many years as well as other Massage Memberships.

I also have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Health Education from The University of Wisconsin La Crosse, and I take many hours of Continuing Education for Massage Therapy throughout the year.

I specialize in Therapeutic Massage which incorporates many different modalities such as: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Stretching, Hot Stones, Cupping, Sports, Reiki and many more. Every massage is customized to the client's individual needs at the time of service. Aromatherapy, heat (hot towels/stones) gua sha and cupping are included at no additional charge if desired.

Online booking will only show you the availability for the length of service you chose. You might be able to book a 30min or 15min massage to get in sooner, and then book a 60min massage at a later time. 

New clients are required to prepay for your first appointment. If you need to cancel do so according to the cancellation policy. For prepaid appointments I can apply it towards the rescheduled appointment or put a credit on your account for future use.

Massage is by appointment only. 

Text message reminders are 24hours in advance of appointment and the email reminder is 48 hours in advance. All appointments are subject to 24 hour cancellation policy.

Payment is due at time of service if not prepaid.

24 hour cancelation policy. If you cancel under 24 hours you may be charged full price for service. If you cancel last minute (few hours prior) or No Show, you will be charged full price and may have to prepay for upcoming appointments. I'm booked very far in advance and last minute cancelations can rarely be filled due to time constraints so I'm out that money and time. Thank you for understanding.
