Rejuvenate with lymphatic massage
The lymphatic system is one of the most important systems in your body! Proper functioning of the lymphatic system is critical to your body's ability to detoxify, nourish and regenerate tissue and maintain a healthy immune system. It is an ideal treatment for pre & post cosmetic surgery, post cesarean, maintaining a healthy immune system and integrating into a detox or cleanse. Lymphatic circulation can be increased six to ten times the standard rate as a result of a single session of lymphatic drainage massage
MLD aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially in swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. This type of pressure is very light in nature, about the weight of a nickel.
MLD is a gentle, non-invasive bodywork technique that stimulates the flow of lymph fluid. It is often used pre-and-post cosmetic surgery and as a way to assist with lymphedema. MLD has been shown to be very effective as being part of a treatment plan to help people manage their lymphedema.
In addition, MLD is very effective for many concerns including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from surgery, radiation therapy, and assists to effect strengthened resistance to
illness.
SURGICAL CARE LYMPHATIC MASSAGES
Pre-Surgical Lymphatic Massage
One to three sessions are recommended 14-2 days before surgery. Lymphatic Massage is helpful in preparing the body for surgery by clearing any stagnant toxins and waste that may be at or around the surgical sites.
Benefits may include reduced edema and swelling, stimulation of the immune system, increased relation and prevention of infection.
As a holistic lymphatic therapist, Joanna may also make recommendations for you to integrate into your home-care protocol to assist with your healing.
Post-Surgical Lymphatic Massage
Begin receiving lymphatic massages as early as 10 days after surgery. Treatments are best spaced 3-10 days from each other and minimum of 4 sessions is recommended.
Beneficial after plastic surgery, liposuction, non-invasive laser and after breast reconstruction. It helps speed up recovery time, decrease swelling & bruising, prevent infection, alleviate pain, and minimize scarring & hardening.
DETOX LYMPHATIC MASSAGES
Initial Detox Lymphatic Massage
Initial Detox Lymphatic Massage must be your first session. Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which speeds filtration and boosts well-being. Proper functioning of the lymphatic system is critical to your body’s ability to detoxify, nourish and regenerate tissue and maintain a healthy immune system.
Many people use this treatment as a jumpstart to their holistic healing or to integrate during any cleansing or detoxification program.
Detox Lymphatic Massage
This is for all follow-up sessions after your Initial Detox Massage. In this session we will continue working together to help assist your body to remove unwanted toxins, boost your immune system and leave you feeling refreshed and healthier.
Beneficial for allergies, improve immune system, decrease anxiety, cleanse unwanted toxin and much more!
DETOX LYMPHATIC CLEANSE
This Lymphatic cleanse will detox your whole body!
Cleansing the lymphatic system can address nearly every condition.
In a toxic world with digestive strength for most folks in decline, the lymphatic system (the body’s drainage system) can easily get congested. This concern regularly goes unnoticed and untreated. In my practice, I have found maintaining and cleansing the lymphatic system can be the missing piece of the health puzzle for many.

THE UNSUNG HERO
Joanna Moses of Massage Wellness is truly an unsung hero!
Without advertisement or a supportive shout out, a person can provide an amazing service, and receive little or no recognition. An unsung hero typically refrains from claiming too much in return for his/her efforts. This is certainly true of Joanna Moses-a licensed Lymphatic Massage Therapist.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer this fall, one of my grave concerns was developing Lymphedema. Lymphedema is a swelling that results from a blockage in the lymphatic system and is caused by removal or damage to lymph nodes as a result of cancer, surgery and subsequent radiation. Lymphedema makes it hard to move the effected part of the body, clothes don’t fit and it HURTS! Facing cancer I wanted to know as much as I could about the side effect and how to manage it.
I was beyond grateful when in my research I discovered a lymphatic massage specialist RIGHT HERE in our valley. When I placed that first call I wasn’t sure what I was asking for-cancer was overwhelming and new to me. Joanna took the time to answer all my questions in an educated and gentle way and I was able to schedule an appointment right then.
Lymphatic Massage is not your typical massage and I learned a tremendous amount about the science of my body’s lymph system as Joanna used a gentle and non-invasive massage to move the waste fluids away from the damaged area toward regions that can support drainage. I am now four months post surgery-with no signs of lymphedema. I continue to see Joanna twice a month as she is an important part of my cancer team. She is an amazing gift to the Wenatchee Valley. If you are facing cancer please consider Massage Wellness as a possible resource in your recovery.
