Hello! My name is Traci. I've been a licensed massage therapist since 2012 and have enjoyed my career immensely. My first massage job was for a chiropractor and I learned a great deal from the clients who were willing to give me feedback and helped mold my technique to loosening the neck and upper body. From there, I went on to work in three very busy spas, and gained more education from my amazing co-workers, such as the most effective way to treat sciatic pain and plantar fasciitis. While massage may feel like it's just to pamper yourself, there's
so much healing going on while you rest on the table. A one hour massage
is as restorative to the body as eight hours of sleep. The mind relaxes and
allows for a better communication with the muscles. That's what therapeutic massage is at its core, listening to what's wrong with the muscles and restoring them in a language that they understand. Therefore, deep tissue massage can be viewed as yelling at the muscles. Instead, I use gentle persuasion to accomplish the same relief goals. The heat from the
stones sooth the body while I work out the areas that have problems
built up. Over time, we can teach the muscles that it's okay to stay
relaxed!
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
