Sometimes the path to true relaxation requires a bit of discomfort. It’s this initial pressure and discomfort that can lead to profound relief and a greater sense of ease, as the muscles release and the body finds its balance. I was once told that "Through pain, oneself can find understanding and empathy." Aches and pains are all too normal. Instead of putting a Band-Aid on the symptoms, why not just fix the problem? That was my biggest question after some of the injuries I've received over the years.  Massage isn't a fix all therapy, but it's a start down a better path.
