Hello!
I’m a wife and mom of 3 kiddos and in between all the things, I love helping people feel their best. I’m a LMT, C-MLD and also a PTA of 14 year. Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to work with patients managing lymphedema and have witnessed the tremendous impact lymphatic care can have on clients whether or not they are managing a condition. I have also witnessed the profound effects of MLD for improving surgical outcomes.
Our lymphatic system is a distribution of larger highways and small backroads connected throughout our entire body by large clusters of lymph nodes. These “roads” which are the thickness of a strand of hair, are the vessels that carry immune fighting cells to one area whilst taking away debris- toxins, viruses, and dead cells. The lymph nodes and vessels get bogged down by a long list of factors and can be the culprit of many conditions.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a very gentle massage using rhythmic strokes that directs lymphatic fluid towards the lymph nodes. The lymph nodes filter cellular debris before returning to the bloodstream and MLD will expedite the flow 10 times faster than the body is able to do on its own. It is a very effective tool to move and filter stagnant fluid in your body reducing swelling and inflammation.
Wellness-focused lymphatic massage aids in ensuring a healthy lymphatic system by decreasing congestion in areas you may not even realize are retaining fluid. Your face feels lifted and your nervous system is shifted into a deeply relaxed state. Indications of a congested lymph system are bloating, brain fog, chronic sinus infections, fatigue, headaches, swelling, and skin conditions such as acne and eczema.
Improve your surgical outcome and decrease downtime with pre and post MLD. Pre-op MLD will have your immune system at peak performance by clearing toxins, reducing swelling to baseline, and decreasing inflammation. Recommend 1-3 sessions 1 week prior to surgery. Packages available.
Post op MLD accelerates the healing process by eliminating swelling and bruising, relieving pain, and preventing fibrotic scar tissue by promoting better scar formation. Recommend 3-6 sessions 2-6 days following procedure with Packages available.
*Cosmetic procedures
*Orthopedic surgeries
*Cancer related surgeries (including lymph node removal)
*Abdominal/pelvic surgeries
The benefits of Manual Lymphatic Drainage can be extensive, and each session can be tailored to your individual needs and wellness goals.
I can’t wait to meet you and be part of your wellness journey!
