Soulager Massage LLC is the culmination of a dream, hard work, dedication, and God's amazing grace. Kasandra Hood began performing amateur massages for family and friends at seven years old. In her early twenties, the cost of massage school kept her from fulfilling her desire to become a massage therapist. After being medically retired from the army in 2016 she was searching for her purpose and calling. With encouragement from her husband, George, she enrolled in The Body Business School of Massage Therapy in Ada, Oklahoma. The rest, as they say, is history.
Soulager is French for alleviate. This name was chosen because our goal is to alleviate restrictions, adhesions, and physical stress for our clientele. Also, the, "soul," in Soulager is a nod to our faith in God and our Salvation found in Jesus Christ. Soul-a-ger when pronounced in English (rather than French) sounds a bit like soldier. Thus, a nod to our owners' military service and support of their brothers and sisters in arms.
The correct pronunciation of Soulager is:
su: "oo" sound as in "boot"
la: "lah" sound as in "la"
zhe: "zh" sound as in "measure"
