I'm Chelsea. I believe that everyone has the right to live a vibrant, healthy, pain-free life and that we all have the innate ability within ourselves to do so with a little education and action. From a very young age I have felt called to help women understand their bodies and gain health and freedom from pain. This lifelong calling has now become The Good Rest Wellness.

As a Massage Therapist, Educator, and Holistic Wellness professional, I am not a medical doctor.

I do not diagnose or prescribe. Instead, I use my expertise in the human body & soft tissue (muscle, connective tissue, fascia), range of motion, holistic/integrative health solutions, and women's health to holistically partner with you as an individual and support you back to wellness. My main focus is to help you reconnect to your body and tune in to its needs to give it the optimum chance to heal. The care I provide pairs well with that of your standard healthcare professional for those currently under treatment, or with that of your chiropractor or functional medicine professional. I'm passionate about bridging the gap between the healthcare system and your holistic needs.

Grand Haven born & raised, I have been blessed to spend over a decade of my life so far working with women during their child-bearing years, beginning with volunteering as a client advocate at a pregnancy center right out of high school - and more recently spending 6+ years working at the busiest OBGYN practice in the state of Montana (and beyond). I'm now moved back to my hometown of Grand Haven, Michigan and am focused on bettering the health and autonomy of the women in the Tri-Cities area. Through my own health journey it became clear to me that a holistic, integrative approach to women's health and wellness, therapeutic touch, and truth-filled education on how our bodies are designed is critically missing from Western Medicine. The Good Rest Wellness was born from my desire and heart-felt calling to fill this hole for the girls and women of our community.

As a Massage Therapist & Holistic Wellness Professional, my mission is to bring rest, rejuvenation, healing, freedom from pain, understanding in how to care for your body, and preventative wellness solutions to you in a tangible way - and to help you reconnect with yourself in a way you may not even have realized you've been missing. Our bodies are made to move, but our current modern-day lifestyle does not often serve this purpose in a health-edifying way and the healthcare system is designed to only prescribe medication that masks symptoms, not bring true healing or recovery. As a therapist working directly with the soft and connective tissues of your body, I am able to identify and empower you to restore physical dysfunction and address pain patterns. I am also able to teach you how to use massage and movement in a preventative health way. This has been life-changing for me and it can be for you as well!

Because I am also credentialed as a holistic health & nutrition coach, I value education and empowerment when it comes to identifying and changing lifestyle & eating patterns/habits that no longer serve you in favor of new life & diet choices that do. You will see that I enjoy sharing information and guidance on this topic, although I currently do not offer coaching services.

After working in "the healthcare system" for years, I am very clear on its benefits and it's short comings and am always up for visiting with you about your current health situation. When I'm not with clients, I enjoy spending time outdoors, riding & training horses and spending any amount of time in the barn & trails that I can, going on hikes and other adventures with my husband and fur kids, running, biking, kayaking, yoga, strength training, barre & pilates, reading, writing, soaking up the sunshine at the beach, and photography.
