Leslie is a female veteran who retired from the Army serving 22 years in the Signal Corps. She wanted to continue helping others. During her retirement she attended Augusta School of Massage (ASM). Everyday she learned something new on how amazing our bodies perform. This is information she was not familiar with and knew others were not familiar with how the body communicates. This is when she knew this is what she wanted to do. She wanted to continue contributing her passion of helping others. "These Hands Massage" business name was established while in school because of the reviews she received from clients. She felt the work was in her hands and not just her mind. After graduating ASM she worked at Massage Envy for a year and began to learn the differences in people wants, and personalities. She wanted to do more for her clients and was blessed with an offer to work for herself. She quickly took the opportunity and opened her business These Hands Massage and Bodywork in 2018. It does not stop, She plans to expand so she can teach and supervise her clients on how to properly care for ailments.
When Leslie is not working at her business she is taking care of her youngest Q'Mariyah, who is junior in high school, attending American Military University, working at the Augusta School of Massage, going to the gym, or just taking time for herself. She has a bachelors degree in Sports and Health Science, and is currently working on her masters degree in Sports and Health Science. She loves her job and will listen to your needs.
Her style is not your typical spa like environment. Her schedule is set up to have no waiting in between clients. None of her massages are rushed and you will always get your full time if arrival is on time. The music she plays is more instrumental and not the water, birds or white noise. Her room is kept dim and not dark, but if you let her know she can accommodate by covering your eyes. At the same time if the another style of music or lighting is more suitable for your mind she has it ready too. She understands the importance of being able to clear your mind and just having a “calming and quiet” moment. She will not hold conversations with you unless you want to. Feel free to let your entire body relax, listen to the music, and feel better than you did before.
