After receiving my first massage at 18 years old, I sought out a local Massage School and immediately fell in love with the curriculum. I enrolled in Bryman College in Torrance, California in 2003, where I was fortunate to have an exceptional teacher and mentor who specialized in high quality massage techniques and Reiki.
After completing my massage training I worked in a variety of settings including chiropractic offices, day spas, and skin care centers. Serving clients with diverse needs and goals helped me refine my skills as a massage therapist. Whether you want a relaxing swedish massage, tension-relieving deep tissue, nurturing prenatal, or supportive postnatal care, my intention is to customize each session to your individual needs.
I believe that massage is not a luxury, but a powerful tool for balancing daily stress and muscle tension. My goal is not only to provide therapeutic bodywork and Reiki, but also to empower my clients to take an active role in their health. I share practical self-care tools that can be incorporated at home to support ongoing wellness.
I completed my Reiki Level II and III training in 2016. The mind and body are deeply connected and true wellness includes mental and emotional wellbeing. As a practitioner, I hold intentional space so that Reiki can support the body’s natural healing processes. I often incorporate chakra stones to encourage self-balancing.
In addition to bodywork and energy work, I have studied herbal medicine making since 2016. I integrate my own infused oil blends, formulated through Oils by Voyles (est. 2020), into my massage sessions for pain relief and stress reduction. I also create small batch botanical formulations designed to extend care beyond the table.
I am certified with the California Massage Therapy Council and am the sole proprietor of Ixchel Massage in Torrance, California.
