Melanie Jaquess is a Board Certified Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork professional and Certified Massage Therapist with specialized certification in Dr. Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage through Klose Training. She is also a Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist and Certified Yoga Teacher.

Melanie provides individualized therapeutic massage for chronic pain, muscular tension, movement restrictions, stress, and other health-related concerns. Her approach considers the muscles, fascia, nervous system, and the way the body works as a whole. Each session is adapted to the client’s comfort, health history, and individual goals.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, highly specialized form of bodywork that supports the natural movement of lymphatic fluid. It may help ease swelling and congestion, promote relaxation, and support recovery following many surgical procedures. When medically appropriate, MLD may also benefit cancer survivors and clients with mild, diagnosed lymphedema. Melanie’s own experience as a breast cancer survivor gives her a personal understanding of the physical and emotional changes that can accompany cancer treatment and recovery.

Melanie’s mission is to help people of all ages—including those living with chronic illness, disability, cancer, or persistent pain—improve their comfort and quality of life through compassionate, accessible bodywork. Community Care appointments and discounted treatment packages are available for clients who need ongoing care but may be limited by a fixed income. House calls may also be arranged for an additional negotiable fee.
