Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Specialist | Vodder Method | Advanced Post-Op Care | CAMTC #89973
Gentle Care. Intentional Healing. Powerful Results.
I specialize in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) using the Vodder Method, providing personalized lymphatic care for clients recovering from surgery as well as those seeking to reduce swelling, support lymphatic health, and feel more balanced and comfortable in their bodies.
My approach is gentle, knowledgeable, and highly individualized. Using light, rhythmic, precisely directed movements, I support the body's natural lymphatic processes while creating an environment where both the body and nervous system can deeply relax.
Whether you are navigating surgical recovery, experiencing swelling or tissue changes, or simply looking for a restorative way to support your overall wellness, every session is thoughtfully tailored to you.
Specialized Post-Surgical Recovery
Recovery does not end when you leave the operating room. In the days and weeks following surgery, your body is managing swelling, inflammation, bruising, fluid accumulation, and tissue trauma. As healing progresses, areas of tightness, firmness, congestion, and fibrosis may also develop.
Post-operative MLD can provide gentle, targeted support throughout this process and may help:
- Reduce swelling and fluid retention
- Ease tightness, pressure, and discomfort
- Support healthy lymphatic flow and circulation
- Encourage the resolution of bruising and inflammation
- Support healthy tissue recovery
- Help soften areas of congestion and fibrosis
- Promote relaxation and nervous system regulation
I frequently work with clients recovering from liposuction and Lipo 360, tummy tuck/abdominoplasty, mommy makeover, BBL and fat transfer, breast augmentation and lift, chin liposuction, face and neck lift, blepharoplasty, and other cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.
Every recovery is different, so your care should be too. My post-operative work follows the gentle Vodder Method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage. I do not perform aggressive massage or incisional drainage, and I am happy to work within your surgeon's recommendations and protocols.
Lymphatic Care Beyond Surgery
Manual Lymphatic Drainage isn't only for post-operative recovery. Your lymphatic system plays an essential role in fluid balance, immune function, tissue health, and the body's natural waste-removal processes. MLD gently encourages lymphatic movement and can be a deeply restorative addition to your overall wellness routine.
Clients also seek MLD for:
- Swelling, fluid retention, heaviness, and puffiness
- Lymphedema and lipedema support, when appropriate
- Pregnancy and postpartum swelling
- Facial puffiness and sinus congestion
- Bloating and digestive sluggishness
- Travel and exercise recovery
- Stress and nervous system support
- General lymphatic wellness
Clients often describe leaving their sessions feeling lighter, less puffy, deeply relaxed, and more comfortable in their bodies.
Gentle Doesn't Mean Ineffective
One of the biggest misconceptions about lymphatic work, especially after surgery, is that it needs to hurt to work. It doesn't.
Many lymphatic vessels are located just beneath the surface of the skin, which is why authentic Manual Lymphatic Drainage uses light, rhythmic, intentional movements rather than aggressive pressure.
Using the principles of the Vodder Method, I focus on pressure, direction, rhythm, and sequence to encourage lymphatic movement without unnecessarily stressing tissues that may already be tender or healing.
Many clients become so relaxed that they fall asleep during their sessions. That gentleness isn't a lack of therapeutic purpose, it's part of the technique.
More Than Bodywork
I believe exceptional care also includes education. I want my clients to understand what is happening in their bodies and how they can support themselves between sessions.
Depending on your individual needs, we may discuss recovery stages, swelling, fibrosis, compression garments, hydration, gentle movement, diaphragmatic breathing, and lymphatic self-care. My goal is for you to leave not only feeling better, but understanding your body better.
Why This Work Is Personal to Me
My own healing journey began during a period when chronic stress, poor sleep, inconsistent nutrition, and the demands of everyday life left me physically and emotionally depleted.
Experiencing holistic care and therapeutic bodywork firsthand changed the way I understood health. I began to see just how interconnected our physical health, nervous system, lifestyle, and emotional well-being truly are. That experience ultimately changed the direction of my life and inspired the work I do today.
I now bring together specialized lymphatic therapy, therapeutic bodywork, acupressure, education, and compassionate care to help my clients feel supported throughout their own recovery and wellness journeys.
Care That Meets You Where You Are
Some clients come to me days after surgery feeling swollen, bruised, and uncomfortable. Others come months later seeking support for lingering tightness or fibrosis. And many simply want to feel lighter, less puffy, more relaxed, and more connected to their bodies.
Wherever you are in your journey, my intention is simple:
To listen, educate, and provide thoughtful, specialized care while supporting your body's natural healing process.
