At Tranquility Island Massage, we specialize in pain relief and nervous system regulation. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, migraines, fibromyalgia, injury recovery, stress, or burnout, every session is customized to help your body move out of tension and survival mode and back toward healing and resilience.
At Tranquility Island, you will find innovative therapies such as the Vagus Nerve Reset Massage that wraps you in a warm cocoon of safety and comfort while stimulating your vagus nerve and providing unparalleled relaxation. Core Release Cupping Therapy takes cupping to a level you have never experienced before, helping reduce pain, improve circulation, release myofascial restrictions, and restore mobility and function throughout the body. Our Auricular Massage and Craniosacral Therapy can provide remarkable relief from tension in your neck, jaw, head, face, and more.
We offer customized pain relief cupping massage therapy. We specialize in relieving fibromyalgia, migraine, headache, sports injury, back, hip, knee, shoulder, and neck pain, as well as prenatal massage. We also offer our relaxing Ahh-Mazing Tranquility Massage for those who prefer light, comforting massage without cupping. The Vagus Nerve Reset Massage also does not involve cupping and is incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. Think of it as massage for your nervous system!
Our specialty is hunting down knots and smoothing them out of muscle and connective tissue with a mix of cupping and manual massage therapy, which may include deep tissue work or lighter pressure, myofascial release, gua sha (scraping), reflexology ball work on the hands and/or feet, and jade rollers on the scalp, face, and jaw. Please give your therapist feedback on pressure level and tools so that your session can be tailored to your specific needs and comfort level.
About Cupping
If you haven't tried cupping therapy yet, you are missing out on one of the most effective and comfortable tools available for relieving pain and tension!
Cupping doesn't hurt. In fact, most recipients find it much more comfortable than the sharpness of thumb pressure.
Cupping uses suction, which produces a gentle negative pressure instead of the positive pressure a therapist uses to press into tissues manually. Cupping may help relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, release myofascial restrictions, improve circulation, support the body's natural lymphatic processes, speed recovery, and even reduce the appearance of cellulite. Cupping also activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping shift the body into a state of rest, digestion, and healing instead of fight-or-flight.
Clients are enthusiastic. Many report cupping feeling "miraculous" for inflammation and pain relief.
The only downside to cupping is the possibility of temporary cup marks, which are similar to hickey marks but in a perfect circle. Our goal is to apply only enough pressure to gently release tension in the area being treated while avoiding marks whenever possible. However, every body responds differently. Marks generally disappear within 1 to 4 days (often more quickly with the use of arnica cream afterward). For some individuals with certain inflammatory conditions, medications, or a tendency to bruise easily, marks may last longer.

Online scheduling is available through MassageBook, but please feel free to call or text us at 417-693-8270 (quickest reply!), especially if you need a time that does not appear on our online schedule. If we are in a session and unable to answer, please leave a message. We will contact you as soon as possible and do our best to get you in at a time that works for you.
Cancellation Policy
Please be aware that we have a 24-hour cancellation policy. We charge the full session amount for no-shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice. Please understand that we often have clients waiting for openings and need adequate time to offer those appointments to others.
