Q & A **What will a massage session be like?
Many people are seeking massage therapy for their first time and are concerned about what to expect.
1- Massage Therapy is modest and respectful. You will be draped at all times under a sheet and blanket except for the specific area that is being worked on. After it is worked on it is covered up again.
2- All gluteal work is done through the sheet layer, and no work is done on the upper 3-4" of the inner thighs.
3- Breasts and genitals are covered at all times and never touched or massaged!
4 - Enforced cancellation policy. By booking an appointment, this spot is reserved for you. If you No-Show, or fail to give a 48 hour notice to cancel your appointment, you will be charged 50% of the appointment fee. If a card was used to book the appointment, a portion will be refunded back to you. If a card was not used, no future appointments can be made until it is paid.
"Integrated Massage" - Rather than the traditional "no pain, no gain" Deep Tissue Massage, my method is a blend of Swedish techniques and then i will use gentle/non-force Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Massage techniques once the body has opened and quit armoring. I may also use hot stones, cupping, or facilitated stretches to encourage the body to further release the tension and knots. The combination of techniques still allows for activation of the Parasympathetic Nervous System while also addressing deeper tension in the muscle layers. This is a slow gentle method versus applying brute force and takes more time than a traditional 60 minute session. The minimum time for this style of work is 90 minutes.
Since my goal is mind and body therapy, i believe "no pain-no gain" deep tissue methods are counter productive and negates therapeutic benefits for *all* systems of the body. If you are of the "no pain, no gain" mindset and feel that the only way you can get relief is from a brute force Deep Tissue Massage style where you have to grimace and hold your breath through out the session, **i am not the right therapist for you**.
***Zero Tolerance Policy***
I am a licensed professional! I have a strict zero tolerance policy. Any form of sexual solicitation, requests, innuendo, jokes, conversation, etc. the session will immediately end, full session price will still be charged, and person will be banned from future sessions with me.
