What is Somatic Wellness?

A holistic approach to well-being that focuses on the connection between the mind and body.

It is my goal to help you become more in tune with your body, promoting a sense of self-awareness that lasts beyond the massage table.
 

Hello, my name is Katelyn—
I have been licensed and practicing massage in Rhode Island since 2019 and have worked at the same busy wellness clinic located in the west end of Providence,  RI since 2020.

I am excited to now be licensed in my home state of Massachusetts and offer therapeutic massage here in  the southcoast!
 

The type of massage that I offer incorporates a firm pressure with a gentle approach to help ease tension and pain while offering a restorative, relaxing and healing experience.

I seek to help clients find relief from chronic and acute muscular pain and tension as well as offering a little respite from life's daily stress.

I don't believe that deep tissue is supposed to hurt, I work in ways that offer deep pressure while also weaving in elements of relaxation.

It is my goal to help work through the knots and stuck tissue to bring in fresh blood flow, while also helping to activate the parasympathetic nervous system —

This is where all of that lovely self-healing magic happens!

I like to blend deep tissue and relaxation techniques, myofascial work and trigger point therapy. 

I have taken continuing education on:

• Myofascial cupping
• Advanced Corrective Bodywork taught by Rob Martin of Rolf Bodywork's (Sterling, CT)
• Prenatal massage
• Intro to Somatic Principles (Trager approach) with Linda MacConell

Cancellation Policy: 

If you need to cancel your session, kindly do so within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time. 

Cancellations made in less than 24 hours are subject to a fee of 50% of the scheduled service.

Cancellations made the day of or no call/no shows are subject to a fee of 100% of the scheduled service.

Late Policy: 

Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled session that way you can decompress, use the restroom, and we can do a general checkin/intake.

If you are running late, please reach out via text: 401 525-8416 to let me know.

If you show up late, I will work my best to accommodate but there is no guarantee you will receive the full time of your scheduled session as I work by appointment.

Inappropriate or lewd behavior/requests:

• Will result in IMMEDIATE TERMINATION of session.
• You will be reported to Mattapoisett Police department.
• You will incur the full charge of scheduled service.
