Welcome to NR-Soul Massage Therapy and Wellness, LLC located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina! NR-Soul Massage Therapy Practice, combines 22 years of experience in clinical and spa settings to offer a variety of Therapeutic Massages and Wellness Classes for your mind, body, and soul.

A little about me… Jennifer L. Barker, LMBT, Proprietress
I am a Licensed and Board Certified Massage Therapist with 22 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients in various settings, including hospitals, hospice/palliative care, private practices, and spas on land and at sea. I specialize in Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage (relaxation), Myofascial Release, Prenatal Massage, and energetic work. I have also received training in Reiki, (Check out my Signature Treatment "Heaven and Earth" to experience Reiki offerings) Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage (upper body), Oncology, Massage Cupping, Hot Stones, and other bodywork modalities I can incorporate into your session depending on your individual goals. Services are provided by appointment only and scheduling is conveniently offered online 24/7 by accessing the "book now" button. In my free time I enjoy spending time in nature, writing, crafting handmade jewelry, and creating a variety of therapeutic bath items, which are available for purchase at my office! One of my favs is the Muscle Soothing Epsom Salt Soak!!!

My Philosophy/Approach
I have always believed that touch is an essential component to life. My love for massage started as a young girl when I would massage family and friend's hands, shoulders and feet, in hope of providing comfort or pain relief to loved ones. Massage is an instinctive/intuitive tool that can help aid in pain management, increase joint mobility, reduce stress, induce relaxation and improve overall well-being. I believe we are more than just our bodies, we are an intricate system of emotions, thoughts, feelings and experiences that transcend our physical body. We serve various roles throughout our day to ourselves and others, all of these dynamics effect our mind, body, and soul. It is my hope that my wholistic approach to massage, bodywork, and wellness can provide you with just what you need to re-balance, rejuvenate, and restore! I look forward to serving you at NR~Soul Massage Therapy and Wellness!

Additional Services/Offerings
These services are currently booked directly with me via email or phone.

• Chair Massage- Wellness Events, Bridal Showers, Birthdays, Sports/Race Events/Marathons/Athlete Competitions, etc. (Please contact me directly for inquiries. Rates begin at $150 an hour.)

• 1:1 Coaching/Training Classes for newly licensed LMBTs to assist with draping techniques, intake process, client retention, body mechanics, self-care, bodywork practice, modifications, bolstering techniques, etc. This offering is custom created specifically for your goals. Think of it as a personally curated support session for all the questions that come up, now that you're out in the field! (I previously served as the Clinic Director at Virginia School of Massage, providing similar services to students.)

• Couples Massage Class (Still in development) This informational class will include instruction on simple massage techniques, professional draping techniques, and hands on practice time. This class is intended to provide you with simple tools to help reduce stress and alleviate tension, in your partner's muscles and problematic areas. It also guides you through communication techniques to better understand what your partner's muscles respond to.

• Comfort Touch for Caregivers (Still in Development) This Class is designed to provide caregivers and loved ones with simple massage and relaxation techniques to support their loved ones in Hospice or Palliative Care. This class will also include self-care and self-massage techniques for the caregiver. (I was privileged to provide Massage Therapy Services to patients and families in-home and bedside throughout 13 counties in North Carolina. It has been the most fulfilling, transformative, and sacred role that I've served throughout my career.)
