About Balanced Bodywork

Welcome! My name is Nicki. I am a California board-certified Massage Therapist and health educator in private practice in San Diego. I have extensive training in neuromuscular therapy, as well as other forms of bodywork that support whole-person healing and trauma resolution. Your body holds the natural ability to heal itself, my goal is to help guide and stimulate that process. I will meet you where you are at in your healing journey, whether you are looking to achieve chronic pain relief, or a comforting touch to balance and regulate your central nervous system!

Nicki is so professional and great at what she does! I love that we sit and talk about my body issues/sore spots before I get on the massage table. Nicki asks questions, do a few resistance test (me raising my arms and her gently pressing down to compare sides to find my knots, turn my neck to identify limited ranges of motion, etc!) It's a really special approach that sets her apart and makes sure that she gets to the root of trouble/sore spots and works them out. After the massage, we repeat the quick resistance and mobility tests to compare before and after! She'll then pull out the foam roller and show you different options to help keep the targeted spots under control between massages! She is the best!!!
