Just an update after my wrist surgery. Everything went well, and I expedited my recovery by not following the Dr's orders! 1 hour post massage, tore off my splint and had my daughter RockTape my wrist to immediately start to dissipate swelling and bruising. Guess what. I had zero bruising due to this method, and very little swelling, which took my recovery time down to half. Iced and elevated and used my Arnica religiously! I did not even take 1 painkiller or alleve. Starting using my finger massager and massage gun week 2 to help with nerve pain in my upper arm due to the nerve block. Week 3 I flew down to Naples Florida to spend time with Holistic Friends and clients. The sea and the sun, along with great holistically minded friends was just what I needed. I spent time helping my 83 year old friend gain better mobility and movement with my functional movement therapy, and we did pool therapy as well. Our coffee time in the morning with our feet in the water was my favorite! Healthy delicious food, while listening the wildlife and visiting the beach, shops, restaurants, local museums, and the Naples Botanical Garden Orchid Show was Amazing! Week 4 after coming back to Ohio, I did more therapy on myself and had a massage and cryotherapy session. The day I flew back to Ohio I saw the occupational therapist who was very surprised that I took my own stitches out and that both my wrists measured the same and minimal swelling was present. My mobility was better than they expected so Yay! I started back to work exactly 1 month after my surgery and am excited to announce my new LLC which is my healing center. 369 Holistic Trinity of Wellness! New Workshops and Classes and being planned as soon as the weather gets better. My Healing Sessions are very much encouraged for anyone who feels more stress and the chaos of living in human form.
