It is often a misconception that a massage needs to be painful to be effective, but this is often far from the case. Thorough tissue warming and fascial stretching before going into deep pressure allows the body to relax superficial tissue when doing deep work resulting in a painless experience while receiving very deep pressure.

I had an incredible 90-minute massage with Kevin at Kevinly Massage, and it was exactly what my body needed. My entire left side was hurting, and I felt completely out of alignment. Kevin intuitively addressed every area—back, glutes, legs, neck, and feet—with the perfect balance of skill, care, and energy. By the end of the session, I felt aligned, balanced, and completely renewed! Kevin’s studio in Portland is in a great location and has a welcoming, peaceful vibe. I think Kevin must be compassionate by nature, like caring for others is an innate quality of his. He was accommodating of my needs and comfortability and I can tell he truly listened to me, because my 90 minute session was exactly what I needed. After over 24 hours of travel by planes and by buses, what I really needed was to not only unwind the tension in my suitcase-arms (which feel great now, btw), but also settle my mind, which has been so anxious since coming back home. Kevin's massage has a uniquely comforting quality that quiets my habitual nervousness like a weighted blanket. I'm someone who can be a bit wary of men in general, but I felt safe with Kevin right away, he just has this transparent, reassuring quality, this genuine desire to help you feel better in your own body. On top of that, he just has a really great sense of humor, as the name "Kevinly Massage" would imply. :) Thanks for the awesome massage, Kevin!

I cannot recommend Kevinly Massage highly enough. Kevin is truly an incredible masseuse with an intuitive and skilled technique that sets him apart. I originally came to him for help with a hamstring injury, and his work has made a noticeable difference in my recovery. Every session leaves me feeling better - both physically and mentally. He had a natural ability to make you feel at ease, creating a calm and welcoming environment from the moment you walk in. The office is cozy, clean, and comfortable which only enhances the overall experience. Whether you’re dealing with an injury or just need to relax and unwind, Kevin is the one to see.
