Holistic wellness is my passion! Before becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist, I worked in healthcare, providing personal care and medication management services to the geriatric population. During this time, I developed a love and passion for taking care of others. While I enjoyed my job, I was saddened by how many people in my community were affected by pain in their daily lives. I realized that most people weren’t afraid of getting older, but rather, they were afraid of living in pain or with feelings of disability. I wanted to find a way to support my community by offering education on preventing illness and help others with pain management. In 2022, I made the decision to attend Blue Heron Academy in Grand Rapids, MI, to study Medical Massage Therapy and Holistic Healthcare. I love working with my patients toward better health, whether through manual therapy, nutritional counseling, or massage for stress management. It is truly an honor for me to be a part of your healing journey.
FAQ:
Q: What should I wear to my appointment?
A: Whatever is most comfortable for you! You may choose to undress to your undergarments for the treatment but ultimately, it is your level of comfort that dictates your attire. Your massage therapist will use drapes to keep you appropriately covered at all times during the appointment.
Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: Cash, Credit/debit cards, HSA, FSA, and most electronic payment methods may be accepted. Please reach out prior to your appointment if you have any questions about accepted payment methods or if you would like to have a detailed receipt prepared for your insurance company.
Q: Are you able to bill insurance?
A: Not at this time, sorry!
Q: Does massage therapy hurt?
A: Massages should not cause pain. If you experience pain, let your therapist know immediately so they can adjust the pressure. It is important to maintain good communication throughout your treatment for best possible outcomes.
