About Illumination Bodywork and Massage

Welcome! 

My name is Emeilya Iben. I am a massage therapist in Portland, Oregon.

I love working with clients who are motivated and curious as I see massage as a collaboration between the giver and receiver, though I have lots of experience working with clients who are new to massage or just starting to make personal changes in their life to advance their health. 

My focus as a practitioner is to help clients decrease stress, improve mobility and daily function as well as bring awareness to the spirit.

 My focus is primarily on sports massage and deep tissue although I do incorporate techniques from Shiatsu, Thai, Swedish Relaxation and Myofascial massage. I am also skilled in cupping, scraping and Gua Sha.

Emeilya was such a sweet and welcoming presence all the way through the massage. As for the massage itself, she really listened to what my specific concerns I wanted worked on were and gave me a personalized experience that targeted my problem areas. After leaving I felt like I could already stand up straighter with less pain! I couldn't recommend Illumination Bodywork and Massage enough!

The perfect little massage studio! I was on the fence about going to someone's home, but Emeilya made it feel like home! She's very accommodating and speaks openly about making sure she's addressing your concerns and needs. Very happy and I'll be seeing her again next month!
