Hello and welcome!

My name is Emeilya.

I love working with clients who are motivated and curious as I see massage as a collaboration between the giver and receiver, though I have lots of experience working with clients who are new to massage or just starting to make personal changes in their life to advance their health.

I love what I do and am always excited to work with new clients to see how massage can help benefit them personally. From stress reduction to increased range of motion to pain relief I am passionate about using my skillset to help you meet your health goals.

A session with me is personal, effective, and collaborative. At the beginning of our session I will always spend time to hear you. I want to know what it feels like in your body and understand what you think is limiting you. I am then clear about my plan of action for your treatment and like to explain my findings at the end of your appointment. Throughout your massage I check in about pressure, and will sometimes offer instruction to help deepen your experience.

I draw on my 10 years of Yoga practice and teaching to guide a bit of breath work to help you dive deeper into your heart and body. It is my experience that this leads to a more effective massage as you are able to focus on your current physical limitations (often they are rooted in the mind) and invite the body to soften and receive the help being offered.

My focus is primarily on sports massage and deep tissue although I do incorporate techniques from Shiatsu, Thai, Swedish relaxation and Myofascial massage.

A lot of people don’t realize that regular massage therapy can help decrease stress, improve mobility and daily function as well as bring awareness to the spirit. I'm here to help!
