About AJ Heeren, LMBT

My name is AJ Heeren and I am a licensed massage therapist (LMBT #18521). My life had been enriched by cross-cultural work experiences, meditation, and movement practices for well over a decade before I decided to explore bodywork as a profession. In 2018, I lived in Thailand to immerse myself in Traditional Thai Massage education. I returned to the US to study trauma-informed somatic bodywork at the Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork in Kauai, where I graduated in 2019. 

I believe the combination of a continuing holistic education and a life nourished by living immersed in different people and cultures around the world has developed my style into one that is open-minded, grounded, effective, and adaptable. In my sessions, listening is a priority. If there was a "Best Hands in Asheville" award, AJ would win it! Knowledgeable, professional, attentive. I came to AJ with a recent injury stemming from a nagging issue. He listened carefully, asked insightful questions, and made sure the session met my goals throughout. I can't recommend AJ highly enough.
