Hello all, my name is Erin and I’m a reiki practitioner! While I'm new here at A Healing Touch, I have been practicing reiki for a handful of years and honestly one of my favorite things is working with new clients who have never experienced this powerful form of healing. When people ask me what reiki is, the most succinct answer I can give is : reiki is like a massage for your energy. It can be used for a wide swath of desired outcomes, from simple relaxation to more targeted healing of specific blocks. Your body takes what it needs and healing is facilitated. Energy can be unlocked and depending on the practitioner, they may be able to see/feel/sense things going on in your energetic body and offer you insights on how to unblock energy, heal old wounds, and move forward toward a more peaceful and integrated life. As for the actual experience, reiki is done clothed laying on your back on the massage table, light or no touch is used (your choice). I can share my insight or stay quiet and let you soak in the peaceful moments (your choice). The immediate result most report is relaxation, and a peaceful feeling. Reiki might be for you if : You’re doing everything you can for physical ailments, yet they persist. You just feel in a rut or blocked but can’t put your finger on why.
