Moonjata Massage & Bodywork offers a range of transformational experiences with a focus on Esalen Massage®.

Esalen Massage® is known for its long flowing strokes, slow pace, and pauses to calm the nervous system and create a feeling of full-body relaxation and healing. Designed to give the client a sense of deep integration of body, mind, and spirit, each massage is customized to meet your personal needs in the moment.

Lisa started out studying various energy healing modalities such as spirit medicine healing (journeywork), medical qigong, and Reiki. While energy work may be profoundly effective, many folks in need prefer a more tangible approach. Lisa discovered that using Esalen Massage®, an integrative style, can open more people to the benefits of energy work while receiving the relaxing and relieving effects of massage.

Some clients have described receiving Esalen style massage as a journey within. While it may not be the same as receiving a full-on shamanic soul retrieval, the overall experience is deeply healing. Many people shared that they not only feel better in their body but also more clarity in their mind and heart for weeks following.

Lisa still offers spirit medicine healing, medical qigong, Reiki as well as transformational coaching in her office just north of downtown Asheville.
