Service Received: Bodywork with Aleia R.
The therapist kept doing the same move rubbing over my back but just on the surface. She hurt my neck. When id ask her anything, like please dont pull my arm or will you not do compression she would get upset and act exasperated. It was like she took things personally and felt bad and would stop working on me and get upset. When I was simply communicating to take care of my body. I felt like I needed to keep explaining myself and do my best to calm her down so she wouldn't be upset working on me. She said she had a lot of experience but didnt seem to realize everyone's bodies are different. And also seemed on auto pilot verses present with my body with her repetitive strokes that werent contacting my muscles or tissues deeper than the surface. I get warming up the tissue. I went to massage school too. But she did this throughout. And was angry and defensive when I asked her not to push on my with her whole hand and body weight or when I told her specific work with her fingers worked well for me. We got a couples massage and my friend was real happy with her massage therapist.
