Engineers ought marvel at the design of our human body.  Every cell in our body is a mini factory with full communication going on to carry out all its necessary processes.  The bones which comprise our skeletons are loosely held in place by ligaments and tendons.  Our bones move freely in to and, well, fortunately not so freely out of alignment when strong muscles pull on them.  When there is an imbalance in the relationship between two or more muscles, that's when pain occurs and I am contacted.  My name is Gary DeFilippo and I will consider it to be my privilege to be your chosen Orthopedic Massage, Medical Massage, Sport Massage and Rehabilitative Massage Therapy provider. 

Orthopedic Massage is a specialized training using advanced massage techniques to bring you back to your pre-injury condition.  It is my firm belief that from the beginning, our Creator just knew that we were going to sustain skeletal muscle injuries long before there were going to be doctors to treat us.  So, intelligently, we were designed with tremendous physical restoration and recovery abilities.  Unlike all of the kings men and even their wisest of horses, you and I working together can get you moving naturally and without pain (without medication, electric stimulation, chiropractic spinal manipulation, long-term expensive physical therapy, invasive surgery or even uncomfortable braces or pricey orthotics).  Massage therapy is categorized as an "alternative therapy", but as an alternative to what?  Dashed hopes, negative uncomfortable side effects of medication, and loooonng range recovery plans.  Please don't misunderstand me.  I fully support and have tremendous respect for doctors and medical practitioners of all stripes, but I have been delighted to observe for myself and hear from other practitioners the (relatively) quick recovery that an Orthopedic Massage can bring.  The benefits of massage are more than just pampering and relaxation.  Often it takes only a few visits with your personalized treatments to experience full effectiveness, and usually you'll know if your treatments are working for you the day after your first treatment.  Most even notice improvement soon after they come off the massage table.
