About Therapist:

The Body Whisperer

Hello, my name is King James, also known as The Body Whisperer. I am a native of Raleigh, NC, born and raised by the beautiful Tempie HD and James D. Spivey Sr. I am the eldest of three, with two sweet little sisters, Courtney and Chasity.

Life shaped me early. My father passed away when I was just three years old, leaving my mother and my Grandma L to raise me. As a kid, I often felt lost searching, seeking, looking for something outside of myself, not realizing that the answers were always within. I struggled with self-esteem, confidence, and understanding my own worth. Love, relationships, and friendships felt like puzzles I couldn’t quite solve.

Yet, through it all, my mother and grandmother instilled in me values of love, resilience, and purpose. They nurtured my passion for the culinary arts, which led me to attend culinary school. But life had other plans. When my mother was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I felt a deep calling to help her. I considered nursing, becoming a doctor, or massage therapy—and I chose massage, a decision that changed my life forever. After attending Gwinnett College, formerly The Medical Arts School in Raleigh, my path as a healer began. Now, 15 years later, I am still here—still healing, still growing, still evolving.

The Birth of A New U Healing

A New U Healing started as a massage service for relaxation and pain relief but grew into something much deeper. My own life’s journey—through self-doubt, heartbreak, and rebirth—taught me that true healing is more than physical. It is emotional, mental, and spiritual.

This company is built on the foundation of self-worth, self-improvement, and self-love. It was born from the ashes of a toxic past with myself where I mentally, emotionally, and spiritually died—only to rise again like a phoenix. I made the choice to love myself, value myself, and honor the being that I am. Now, I bring that same passion and deep, unconditional love into every session I offer.

Company Policies and Information
 

· All clients must be 18 years or older unless parental consent is provided, and the parent is present during the entire session.

· The client is required to provide adequate workspace for the massage therapist to set up equipment. (For ALL Travel Service Clients)

 ​

· Hygiene is very important.  All clients are recommended to bathe before the session but not required but appreciated.

.  If you are sick with a cold, flu or anything contagious, have a fever, rashes, etc. it is advised that your massage be postponed until you are well.

• ​All Travel prices include a $40 travel fee within 45 miles which is included in all current out-call prices to cover travel time, Gas and Set-up.   Please keep this in mind when booking. ((Anything over 45 miles will be charged an additional $30)).

For the off chances of a complaint or problem with a session please email anewumassage19@yahoo.com within 5 days of an incident. 
 

Late Policy

·Promptness is expected for all appointments. In the event of your tardiness, the massage will be cut short resulting in you getting the remaining time paid for due to other commitments with other clients after you, it will be in best interest for you to try and arrive 15 - 20 minutes early. In the event I am tardy you will still receive your full time paid for.

• New In Office Clients: 

We recommend arriving 15 - 30 minutes early to ensure a thorough intake and if you had trouble filling out your paperwork online you can have time to do it in office. If you arrive at the time of your appointment without the REQUIRE paperwork done, please keep in mind that this will cut into your service time. 

• New Travel Clients: 

We will try to arrive 15 - 30 minutes early to your home to ensure a thorough intake and if you had trouble filling out your paperwork online you can have time to do so before session. Upon our arrival at the time of your appointment if the REQUIRED paperwork is not done, please keep in mind that this will cut into your service so that you can fill it out.

NO TOLERANCE POLICY

•  We are a professional, therapeutic, holistic Massage Therapy Service. We DO NOT tolerate ANY inappropriate acts, behavior and/or language towards the therapist at any point and will result in being banned from future services. ALL appointments WILL result in a termination, and you will be responsible for the full payment of the service also. 

**Scheduling / Rescheduling & Cancellation Fee**

 *When booking, canceling or rescheduling an appointment, it must be received in at least 24 hours*. 

• Rescheduling Same Day (Less than 24 hours) will result in a 50% charge.
• Canceling & No Call No Show (Less than 24 hours) will result in a 100% charge.
• No Same Day Appointment Are Available At This Moment
• Any missed / no call no show appointments will result in client being charged and having to rebook your appointment.
• All cancellations are only accepted by phone call and must be in 24 hours before your scheduled service otherwise... **100 percent of the appointment fee is due**. 

Reservation Policy

• All scheduled appointment fees are due upon booking your appointment online or by the business via invoice **to hold and secure appointment/ TIME!! **   

 ** This is to help cover therapist's time and or Travel in case of a no show, cancellation, missed appointments**
