Sports Massage

I offer Sports Massage to Marathon Runners and any other physical activity at Events in Bay Area Ca. I set up my table with few other massage therapists and we line up our tables and sanitation area for our use. I work with a legitimate Business man who operates and manages the events and coordinates the trip. I bring the essentials; paper towels, biofreeze , tea tree oil, garbage bags, etc. Firm pressure is going unless otherwise, and a lot of stretches the client can't do after the run or swim or cycle. I assist them with their leg cramps the best i can.

Pregnancy

As a mother, to all mother to be, I had training for Prenatal when I was working in Pleasant Hill,CA. Massage Envy ,years back. I learned it's very heart warming when I provide that care to new mothers about trust and ease, I'm very gentle and passionate about giving the relaxation one needs. Side lying starts 2nd trimester, and most of the time 60 minutes isn't enough for them to experience the full rejuvenation they will be needing for their journey to come. But everybody has their own tale. I used several pillows to support mother and baby and have refreshments and patience for frequent urinations if needed.

Harmony Beauty and Spa

I was hired here on a last minute decision, as I fit in with the rest of the asian contractors. This was one of my few real life experience working by commission based pay. I had my hurdles working here as I was taught to build my clientle ground up. Despite the slow income, I managed to keep positive vibes and eventually succeeded when my boss helped me introduced to some of her skincare clients. This place not only offered massage therapy but had a Botox doctor and estheticians working all together. On my are time,I had my share of chores. We had to do our laundry, take out trash, refill bottles and jars, as I handled the body scrubs too. We were all assigned chores list and had shifts that changed throughout the week. I offered different modalities like Reflexology, Prenatal, Swedish, Deep Tissue and Aromatherapy, all assisted with hot towels toward end of sessions.

ICE Beauty Salon and Spa

As well as my previous workplace, I performed the following duties as a massage therapist and hair stylist assistant. Besides the normal cleanliness and small chores, I've accompanied in helping my manager with her clients with shampooing and conditioning and unravelling hair, hairstyles and also provide scalp massage on few clients who was ok to receive.

Delanes Natural Nail Care

I came here to learn and understand nail care. I also helped other staff with sanitization and cleaning of implements. I also did multi-task of receptionist and chair massage provider. Likewise my previous job, here too, I had my share of responsibilities. Keeping office space clean, made sure we had enough stock, sweep/mop. We served a choice of water,hot tea or wine for nail clients. As a massage therapist I provided close to 40 mins per client per session. Used none to little lotion for the client when sitting on my chair. Worked on the back,arms, neck and scalp massage.

I was hired on 2 different locations with a corporation company that had several other massage therapists working together but for ourselves. Definitely a working experience, had my share of ups and downs but overall was a good place to gain experience working in a competitive environment. I also learned the different approaches on how to greet and welcome our clients, as far as introducing one another,checking them in, asking questions and overall assessment before proceeding with their timed session. I had to make sure to keep areas clean and neat, not just in my room but through out the spa. Making sure I asked my client what he/she wanted focused on and applying just enough pressure to feel relieved.
