  • About the Massage Jon L Weedn, CMT provides the Bodywork services. Jon has lived in the Tahoe area for over 30 years and has been an avid surfer, alpine skier, trail runner and Nordic skier. Jon's background in athletics, yoga, and meditation has been invaluable in understanding what can be shared through bodywork. As a lifelong athlete participating in a wide variety of sports, Jon has a unique perspective on the stresses athletes put on their bodies and how to facilitate recovery, flexibility, neuromuscular connectivity, and joint mobility through bodywork. 
  • The experience and awareness of energetic flow in the body developed through fifteen years of study and practice of yoga and meditation first led Jon to investigate bodywork. Jon maintains an energetic approach in all his work. Jon has certificates in the massage modalities of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Cranial Sacral, Reflexology, and Myofascial Release along with having completed training for specific therapeutic techniques for neck, back, hips and shoulders. Jon believes in the healing power of touch whenever it is shared with presence and positive intention. As a massage therapist Jon is continually adding to the skills and knowledge that provide a profound depth to the power of healing touch.

I liked how Jon took the time to listen as I explained certain areas of concern prior to beginning the massage. During the session, he was very sensitive and took extra care of a couple of very tight or tender areas. He knows how to use just enough pressure to get the job done without causing undue discomfort. I look forward to using his services again whenever I need a little loosening up.
