My name is Sarah Venezia and I have been practicing massage since 2013. I graduated from New York College of Health Professions in Syosset New York with a focus on both Western and Eastern massage modalities. My specialities are Swedish, Acupressure, Stretching, Medical, Deep Tissue Massage, and Trigger Point therapy. During a session however, I will incorporate more than one massage modality as I believe integrating various styles yields a more harmonious outcome. I also believe every massage should be different for the simple fact that every person is different. Therefore, in a session I learn my treatment plan after the first 10 minutes of the massage as in that time I have palpated tissue and communicated with the client about the pressure.
My decision to become a Massage Therapist transpired after I experienced chronic pain in various parts of my body during my late teenage years. I sought out a massage therapist near my job and was forever hooked. I believed in its benefits so much that I convinced all of my coworkers to get a monthly massage and then eventually looked into massage school because I wanted to learn more.
When I’m not at work I’m exercising, watching sitcoms, venturing out into nature, and/or photographing still life objects.
