I wish my full name was Sarahtonin but my birth certificate just says Sarah. I am from a small town in northern Michigan but have been living in the metro Detroit area since 2014. When people ask me how I became interested in massage therapy the answer, as cliché as it may sound, is that I have been lucky enough to always know that this is what I wanted to do. When I was younger massaging my mom’s shoulders meant she would do my house chores for me. Now that I am older, practicing massage means I am able to help other people do their life chores with ease.

I have been a massage therapist since I graduated from Oakland Community College in 2017. Since then, I have taken multiple classes and practice various techniques such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, joint mobilization, and more. It is always my goal to listen to what the client needs and be as thorough as possible with each session,

Along with massage, I love digging into and reading self-help books to improve self-awareness and continue to grow as a person. Working on self-improvement and going to therapy, I believe, has only strengthened who I am as a therapist and helps me grow stronger professional relationships with my clients.

Of course, self-love does not always mean doing the serious stuff. Music is my happy place, specifically house music, so on the weekends you can find me wherever a good dj is playing. I also love food, any food, preferable dessert, anywhere. When I feel like I need to get away from my temptation of eating too many chocolate covered strawberries I enjoy traveling, hiking, exercising, and snowboarding. Life is full of hard things, might as well make the most of it

Sarah is skilled at working gently and deeply for clients like myself that need deep and productive work while also needing special care for hypermobility. I believe in regular massage therapy to avoid injuries for physically demanding careers and recreational activities.
