The VA referred me to Living Health for the management of persistent joint/muscle pain that does not seem to want to go away. Mind you, while I'm no athlete I do not lead a sedentary lifestyle and consider myself a reasonably active person. During now past multiple weekly sessions under the care of Derrick Henderson, I have found that pain and discomfort level have diminished considerably. He is a great listener and addresses the sources of discomfort effectively and thoroughly. I have thanked Derrick personally. Derrick specializes in injury massage. I have had results that are far greater than physical therapy. I would high recommend Derrick if you have injury that is not getting well from other sources.

I've been receiving massage almost my entire adult life due to osteoarthritis. I'm a lean individual at 6'2" and 165 pounds and it's rare I find a masseuse with the strength and skill to work on me for an entire hour without giving up. Derrick was strong and skilled. I suffer flare ups that last for months and massage really helps. Derrick was hugely helpful after just one visit and that rarely happens. Looking forward to his care for the long term. Derek is great, very skilled, accommodating and knowledgeable. I have recommended him to many friends and family and regularly schedule visits for myself.

Whether it's relaxation or pain relief/reduction, Derrick listens and responds. I personally have chronic pain due to an auto accident and his massage therapies help to keep my pain to a minimum. I seldom even use NSAIDs any more.

Admittedly I came to only my second massage, the first with another masseuse, with a bit of skepticism. Derrick’s knowledgeable and assured mannerisms erased those thoughts. I left there with the last mount of pain I have had in months. I will be back on Thursday.

I always come out feeling so much better than when I went in. If I could make an appointment every day, I would. I’ve had “spa massages” and “sports massages” before and I would tell those places to get refresher training from where Mr. Henderson learned his massage techniques from.

I arrived in a high level of pain ( my first visit also )and within the hour of myofascial release, Derrick released 90% of my pain. I know it will take many more treatments to train my body from this stress and to try and correct my posture, plus correct a couple of other nerve/ muscular issues. I feel confident Derrick can do this and feel he has a heart for helping people because he has a passion for this skill. Plus he has my prayers to help all who come to him..

The best there is nothing i have tried can compare to this you have to experience a session to know what i am talking about when i went to derrick all thr wheels was falling off this old body and i am new again.

He did an amazing job at knowing where I was sore and taking the time to relax those muscles before moving on. The building felt very much like a local therapist as I could hear someone vacuuming from the suite next door but it didn't bother me a whole lot. Derrick does a very good job at explaining how he massages and making you feel comfortable and is very easy to get along with. I will definitely be returning for a follow-up massage!
