Bodysoothe Wellness Massage is here to work with the client to help alleviate aches/pains and live a more pain free lifestyle. I offer a variety of massages from swedish relaxation, deep tissue, myofascial release, sports, and I'm also pre/postnatal certified. My background is more of the medical variety, but I'm still able to create a relaxing spa type atmosphere. I've been working since 2015 in the massage field, prior to it I worked in physical therapy/chiropractic. I created Bodysoothe to have a more personal connection with clients, instead of working in a "factory" type massage setting.

Worked closely with Physical Therapists in aiding patients thru their PT routine. Ranging from ultrasounds, electric stimulation devices, passive / active stretches, PT recommended exercises, creating HEPs for client's to take home, & hot/cold modalities as well. Gained vast knowledge of all types of orthopedic cases, from joint replacements, muscle imbalances, and even gait / balance retraining. I enjoyed working here with the PTs and patients. I enjoyed learning new protocols and teaching this new knowledge to the patients.
I worked here as a Certified Nursing Assistant aka Patient Care Technician. This job offered me to gain knowledge on caring for people on more of a medical based platform. Here I cared for cardiac, stroke, and neuro/psych patients. It was what people call a "heavy floor", b/c most of the patients were older / elderly, not functioning at 100%, or just need special care. While I earned my CNA certificate, the hospital still provided extra training. This extra training was specific to the type of floor i'd be working on. Which taught me about taking vitals ( though I learned that from my PT experience), what are good/bad/dangerous vitals, blood sugar monitoring, oxygen monitoring, hygiene care, do's / don'ts of post surgical / ICU protocols, and lots more. I loved working with all the nurses, and met many different doctors. Varying from Therapists to Surgeons to Neurologists, and many others in between. This job helped me gain more insight to the medical side of taking care of someone.
Working here I used my knowledge of Physical Therapy and helped apply it to chiropractic care. I worked closely with chiropractors and PTs. Under supervision of the Chiropractor I was able to expand my knowledge on bodywork. While these were only 10-15 min sessions, it was specific work. For example if a patient was seeing the chiropractor for neck issues, I'd focus working on the neck muscles and upper back muscles. I also learned more about chiropractic care and how it effects the body's systems.
Worked closely with the owner/chiropractor of Center for Wellness in treating his patients. Our demographic was primarily family / sports medicine. The clinic eventually moved to more functional training / treatments. I began treating patients in 30 min sessions. Focusing specifically on what the chiropractor was seeing them for. For example: whip lash from a car accident, I solely focused on the neck, back, and pelvis. I enjoyed working as an LMT and was happy to also use my previous PT/Chiro background to help the Dr, move towards more functional training / treatments.
