I am Hope Ackerly. I have been a licensed massage therapist for over 3 years now, and a licensed esthetician for over 5. I studied at the Hudson Valley School of Massage Therapy for my Massage license and Capri Cosmetology for my esthetician license. I have worked at numerous Luxury Spa's. Mohonk Mountain House, The Ritz Carlton of White Plains.

I opened up my own private practice last year. It originally started in Poughkeepsie, but since then I have moved to Lagrangeville. With massage I practice deep tissue and sports massage, Swedish, and relaxation. I recently went to a continuing education seminar in Active Isolated Stretching technique, and continue to learn in my field. I like to specialize in pain. Finding the source of someone's issue and then assisting the client to better understand how to resolve the issue at home, while I perform my massage techniques to reduce the pain and get more range of motion. It is my goal to work within the clients tolerance of pressure, to get them to a point of feeling more open and less pain.

I will be incorporating my esthetician license in my practice in the next year. I am also planning on opening up my own spa within the next year or two.
