When 'i' is replaced by 'we', even 'illness' becomes 'wellness' (from www.olaalaa.com)

I have been working as a massage therapist since 2008, but originally graduated from the University of Hartford, Hartt College of Music with a Bachelor of Music.  My instrument was piano and I sang in many choirs throughout high school – even dabbled as lead vocalist/keyboardist in a pop/rock band. During my college days, I worked part time and summers for a payroll processor and found myself taking a detour into computer programming.  I spent over twenty years working full time in Information Technology jobs.

On a suggestion from a fellow IT professional and friend, I attended an introductory workshop at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and in 2007 decided to enroll in the massage therapy program completing it in 2008.  I worked part-time nights and weekends as a CT licensed massage therapist finding massage work a nice balance to the technical systems profession.

In 2019 I  left the technology profession and went back to school for a Masters in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, MA.  I graduated from the program in 2021, and although not yet licensed to practice acupuncture, I am revisiting the steps needed.

From 2008 through 2024, I worked as part of the team at Suffield Massage Therapy and Wellness in Suffield and at Peaceful Touch in East Windsor.  Starting in January, 2025,  I now practice under my own business, Arts of Wellness Therapies, LLC in Suffield and continue to work at Peaceful Touch in East Windsor.

My goal for clients is relief from the aches, pains and stresses that our lives imprint on our bodies and minds.  My massage training includes: Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, Quantum Touch Energy Healing, Acupressure, Facial Release, Prenatal Massage, Cupping, Gua Sha Methods and Massage for Cancer patients.

Each session I do is customized for the individual and is performed in a professional and caring environment.  Aromatherapy, acupressure and energy work techniques can all be included in the session.  In addition, I am currently exploring how to return to my musical roots to see how I can incorporate sound therapy into my sessions.

Pam gave a wonderful massage that relieved muscle tension and targeted many areas with heat. It was very relaxing and I slept so wonderfully that night. I will be returning. Pam is an excellent provider.
