Maylani offers deep, calming therapeutic massage for clients with health concerns such as stress, chronic pain, and injury. With a background in traditional medicine and Yoga, she is committed to empowering clients with knowledge and tools to make lasting improvements in their own health.
Maylani has been studying bodywork and traditional medicine systems since 2010. Since completion of the Rogue Community College Massage Therapy Program, she has been traveling to Thailand each year to study under Traditional Medicine Doctor & Herbal Pharmacologist, Homprang Chaleekanha M.S.. In 2015 she completed an apprenticeship with Homprang and had the honor of assisting teaching at her school, Baan Hom Samunphrai, in Northern Thailand.
In 2016, Maylani began her studies of Thai Medical Theory at the Naga Center in Portland, OR. She completed the Foundations Program of Clinical Herbalism and Ayurveda at The Hawthorn Institute in Williams, OR as well as the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. She looks forward to offering herbal, diet & lifestyle consultations in 2017.
Maylani believes that true wellness begins by cultivating an awareness of your own body. She prioritizes client education and encourages people to take an active role in their health. Her bodywork sessions range from simple relaxation massage to deeply therapeutic and are always tailored to your current needs. Sessions may include the use of Thai hot herbal compresses and tools, as well as herbal balms and liniments to assist in healing.
Maylani considers the health of our community and environment to be inseparable from personal health. She teaches a weekly donation-based yoga class in Grants Pass and Williams, OR and donates a percentage of her profits each month to local community organizations as well as to her teachers to honor her educational lineage.
