I graduated from the Swedish Institute in 1995 and went on to study Advanced Sports Massage and Pain Management specific to fibromyalgia and myofascial pain. My focus is on helping to facilitate the body’s own healing mechanisms. Massage releases tension in your joints creating a relaxing and peaceful mind/body experience. My respect for the therapeutic benefits of bodywork has only grown over the years, making me want to share those benefits with my clients. It would be my pleasure to meet with you and assess how massage therapy can be beneficial and tailored to your particular needs. Your first massage will include a complimentary 15 minute consultation before treatment so we can develop a plan that allows you to achieve your best result. Let massage therapy improve the mental and physical quality of your life.

REVIEWS for my Bodywork services

by Steve on Feb 20
Joan knows what is up. I've not had a massage like hers before, but it was great. Not a rub you all over type, but focus on the cause of the discomfort. She is very knowledgeable of the human body.

After undergoing a spinal fusion I am still experiencing pain. My doctor referred me for Myofascial therapy.i was referred by a friend to try Joan out. Joan listened to me and was able to locate every site that is giving me issues. Her gentle hands left me feeling so relaxed. Definitely would recommend Joan to those that are dealing with chronic pain.

I appreciated the way she explained certain things, and her concentration on problem areas.

Joan is very skilled in many techniques of massage and physical therapy. She goes slow and listens to what your body needs and pinpoints the pain areas, rather than rushing through a general massage like other places where it feels like they are kneading bread. She was able to really help relieve the pain in my hip and lower back with just my first visit. I can't wait to go back!
