My specialty is working post-operatively to reduce inflammation and break up scar tissue. Releasing patterns of restriction along energy meridians, improving lymphatic flow and softening fascia helps you feel like you have more space in your body. We all have patterns of restriction that have developed from injuries, repetitive stress, illness or surgeries. Because everything in our bodies is connected and works as one, releasing these patterns causes changes not just in how your body moves but also your energy and how you process present and past events. As many of you already know, we hold issues in our tissues. This isn't just a funny catch phrase but a scientific fact that the myofascial system holds on to memories and emotions.
Over the past 17 years I have developed a way releasing restrictions in the body quickly and painlessly by working with the energetic and myofascial meridians. I use a combination of techniques and tools, as well as an interactive approach bringing a client's awareness and breath to the forefront of our therapy sessions.

Worked closely with many physical therapists in the care and recovery of patients recovering from motor vehicle accidents, traumatic injuries, and surgeries. I learned how to work with this population in a way that is focused, effective and non-traumatic further developing my skills in Lymphatic Drainage, Fascia Release and Acupressure.
Developed and grew a loyal client base for lymphatic drainage and body therapy using fascia tools.
I owe a lot to Tri Therapeutic Massage, this was the first place I worked professionally. In a way, they spoiled me because my first experience was so good that nothing else matched up. I learned so much about working with athletes here from the owner Tracy Dugdale, a tri-athlete. It gave me wonderful experience and knowledge on client care and quality bodywork. I was there from 2005 to 2010, then I branched out on my own.
While I lived in Las Vegas I had many jobs but my favorite, most fun, and most rewarding was as a poolside therapist at the lovely Aria Resort. It taught me so much about providing a high-quality service under the most unusual circumstances. It also helped me break out of my shell as it is difficult to be shy when engaging with tourists on vacation.
This was the name of my first solo practice in DC and VA. I loved having such a wonderful client base and being able to put into practice so much of what I learned at Tri Therapeutic Massage.
