I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University.   I moved out to Columbus, Ohio, to pursue a Master's degree in Social Work at The Ohio State University.  After years of providing mental health counseling, I became more aware of how the body and mind are interconnected; and I went back to school to become a Licensed Massage Therapist.

I strongly believe that taking care of your physical and mental health go hand in hand.  The benefits of massage extend beyond physical relaxation:  massage also relaxes the mind.  

I spent several years teaching group exercise classes at the YMCA.  I am currently a certified Power Pilates Core Mat I (Beginner) and Core Mat II (Intermediate) instructor.  A strong core can prevent many injuries.
