I am a graduate of Chicago School of Massage therapy class '61 in 2003.   I love giving massages and receiving massages in Chicago's Goldcoast and beautiful Lincoln-Park. I find that regular massage and stretching is so pivitol to over-all health that as we age, weekly or bi-weekly massage is so important to a healthy lifestyle.   I perform swedish massage, deep tissue and sports massage as well as clinical/therapeutic massage for postural re-alignment  I use restorative yoga positions in my clinical massage of the head/neck and shoulders which is very relaxing for my clients that have bad posture when the shoulders and neck are too tight. I have a background in alignment based yoga and i stretch out all my clients.  I believe to be good at massage, you must receive alot of massage from different bodyworkers and some techniques that somone else you enjoy should become part of your massage.   I believe that a therapeutic massage from me with proper stretching and a good traction of the leg, one that is not taught in massage schools today, is the reason that my client's always come back to me. You cant go to massage envy and get a great therapeutic massage, and 50 minutes isnt long enough to do a clinical massage.  I often give my client's a few extra minutes and since i make my own schedule, i plan on 30 minutes between sessions so if your running 15 minutes behind schedule, you wont lose any time on your massage like in a corporate setting.  I am extremely grateful for working independently as a massage therapist and I hope to be of service to you.
