I'm a miracle. After being paralyzed from a stroke at age 24, I did all of my own rehab to get back to full capability. I nearly died from illness at age 33. You are a miracle too!
I'm curious. This isn't just a job for me. Since a toddler, I have always been curious about the body. I am always deep in a book or taking a new continuing education class to continue my learning or changing my perspective. Talk to me about fascia and you'll see me come alive! :)
I'm big. I don't believe in body shame - yours or mine. Our body is our home. I have stretch marks and my belly jiggles. Maybe yours does too. It's ok if yours doesn't though! :) All the chairs, robes and table fit me.
I'm strong. I'm as strong as a man when needed. Clients love me for my large open hands that can knead and massage tissue for hours. People often say it feel like I have 4 hands.
I'm gentle too. The youngest body I have ever worked on was 2 hours old. The oldest was 89 years old. I have a variety of techniques in my tool box that allow me to work as needed. I even do distance work over the phone.
I'm your partner. I'm also a wife, dog mom, sister, daughter and good friend. These are the titles I wear, the roles I hold close to my heart.
