It is rare or you cannot easily find therapist trained in these techniques.Because of this, this makes the impression that techniques that are typically offered are the only ones that exist.

I have experience working in 2 type of massage environments - relaxing spa & chiropractic office. Relaxing Spa--I currently work at luxurious resort spas which include Marriott World Center, Renaissance Orlando at Sea World, Cypress Marriott, and Grand Bohemian Orlando. I am also at a separate spa called Allora Day Spa. Prior to these, I worked at 2 other spas in the past. Chiriopractic office--I have worked at 5 chiropractic/medical offices which include Pavlik Center for Health and Wellness & SouthPark Chiropractic.

I have more training with medical massage than relaxing massage. I have trained with not only fellow massage therapists, but with chiropractors and physical therapists. I can give you an assessment of your structure which goes along with your muscular system - with that knowledge, you will become more aware of your body needs. That is why I consider myself more than a massage therapist, but a bodyworker-- a profesional who uses techniques practiced by different health professionals ( MD, PT, OT, DO, MT, etc.) to help to treat the body. These techniques goes beyond "rubbing" or what massage is portrayed as.
